- (a) Protect the interests of Scheduled Tribes — Correct. The Fifth Schedule deals with administration and control of Scheduled Areas and Scheduled Tribes; the Sixth Schedule provides autonomous administration for tribal areas in Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram.
- (b) Determine the boundaries between States — Incorrect. State boundaries are dealt with under Articles 2, 3 and 4, not the Fifth or Sixth Schedules.
- (c) Determine the powers, authority and responsibilities of Panchayats — Incorrect. This is covered by Part IX of the Constitution and the Eleventh Schedule.
- (d) Protect the interests of all the border States — Incorrect. The Fifth and Sixth Schedules are specifically about tribal areas/tribal interests, not all border States.
